INDUSTRIAL PROGRAM
MANAGER
The Alliance to Save Energy is a national nonprofit
coalition of business, government, consumer, and environmental leaders
dedicated to increasing energy efficiency as a means of preventing
pollution, making housing more affordable, and increasing economic
competitiveness. Its 50-plus staff conducts research, education,
advocacy, and public awareness projects in support of its mission.
The Alliance seeks a Program Manager for the
Industrial Team. At the direction of the Senior Program
Manager for Industry, this position will be responsible for sponsor
liaison, administration, program evaluation, and communications in
support of several major industrial energy efficiency program
initiatives. Liaison will entail interaction with sponsors,
industry, government, and media organizations. Program evaluation
involves tracking and reporting metrics that demonstrate program
impacts.
Communications duties require superior writing,
speaking, organizational, and office computer skills (word processing,
spreadsheet, database, and PowerPoint). Presentation skills and
ability and willingness to travel (up to 20%) are needed. An
interest in energy, the environment, or industrial activities would be
very helpful.
A Bachelor's degree is required (Masters preferred),
with an academic background drawing from one or more of the following:
business, public administration, marketing, environmental science, or
engineering. Five years or more experience with (some combination
of) energy, engineering, industry associations or trade publications is
required. Salary in the $50's.

SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT
Hercules Incorporated, a global specialty chemical manufacturer
headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware has an opening for a
certified Black Belt in Six Sigma. This new position, which was
recently approved by the CEO, will be responsible for “kick
starting” a Six Sigma initiative. The position will have
substantial high level exposure to the organizations’ executives
enhancing opportunity for growth within the organization.
The position trains, coaches, and mentors the organization’s
Work Process Redesign Project Leaders and practitioners in
accomplishing Six Sigma project objectives on core skills and
methodology. This includes, for example, process methodology,
statistical analysis and work process benefits measurement. The
incumbent creates Six Sigma implementation guidelines for
respective business units and operations and assists in the
identification, selection, and review of projects. The incumbent
communicates across all levels of the organization, both domestic
and international, and interfaces with Project Sponsors, the WPR
Integration Team, and the Executive Steering Committee.
The position offers competitive salary and benefits and

Now

We had 36
golfers (participants). Steve Cornish and Chuck Mueller volunteer
for Course detail and they handled the Charity Hole where we raised $161
for the 9/11 Victims Fund. The Winning Team was from Guarantee
Electrical. We raised a total of $1,720 for our St. Louis chapter.
