AFE is your Gateway to the world !

____________

AFE Administration

The organizational structure of AFE is similar to other not-for-profit professional associations with the IRS classification of 501 (c) 6. A non-compensated, volunteer Board of Directors sets policy in accordance with the By Laws, through committees and direct governance, along with dictating short and long-range goals for the paid staff of the organization to implement.

The national Board of Directors consists of an executive committee made up of the Immediate Past President, President, President-elect, Treasurer, Vice President-Communication, Vice President-Certification, Vice President-Education, and Vice President-Membership. Members who present an annual slate of officers at the annual meeting held during the Facilities America conference elect these positions.

In addition to the Executive Committee, nine Regional Vice Presidents (RVP's), represent members in geographical areas around the country and internationally. These individuals are elected by the membership within geographical boundaries as defined in the AFE Bylaws. Please refer to a guideline of Duties & Responsibilities for RVP's on page 11.

The paid administrative staff structure of the national headquarters office consists of the following functional areas of responsibility:

  • Chapter and Member Services

  • Communications and Publications

  • CPE and CPMM Certification programs

  • Conferences

  • Finance
