Below are the minutes from this meeting taken by AFE St. Louis Chapter Vice
President, Terry Bremmer. Please click on pictures to see full size. This months meeting was at
Control Consultants and Supply Company (CCSC)
with speakers Guy McClellan and Ken Niebuhr.
Date: August
26, 2003
Location:
Control Consultants and Supply Company
Host: Control Consultants and Supply Company
Topic: Automated building controls
Meeting Began: 5:00 PM
Lloyd Wilson won the
grand prize of four St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Tickets given away by CCSC!
Guy McClellan, CEO opened the meeting with a description of
Control Consultants and their role in the automated building controls market.
He then discussed some of the various control applications in general.
He turned the meeting over to Ken Niebuhr, Design Engineer who provided a
detailed description and operation of the latest Johnson Controls “Metasys”
automated control system. The
following link contains a copy of Ken’s presentation, www.???????.com.
Ken fielded a number of questions from the group which keep the meeting
very interactive.
Ken Burrows made the meeting even more interactive by calling up a Metasys
control system, for one of their clients, live.
We actually got to see the entire building HVAC control operation from
Illinois
live in
St. Louis
. This presentation really tied
everything together for the evening for the entire group.
This was another successful meeting which met all of our criteria, “Have
fun while learning.” We had 19
attendees with 3 first time visitors. CCSC
was also extremely generous with their prize closet.
They provided screwdrivers, pads and pens for everyone.
Bob Creech, Chuck Weber and Winfred Robinson won baseball caps, while
Lloyd Wilson won the grand prize of four St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Tickets.
